I Prefer Frame Glasses

The Prime Minister of Great Britain Gordon Brown wears contact lens in normal times. Once, he had a very important speech, but he dropped his contact lens into a water pipe. He couldn’t see clearly without them. As result, he had no choice but to postpone the speech. As a high-ranking leader of the country, Gordon Brown was really embarrassed at that moment. In addition, it caused inconvenience to both him and the other government officials.

If he had chosen a pair of frame glasses which fit him well, things wouldn’t have been like that. From this, we can draw the conclusion that a pair of suitable frame glasses is the best choice for people who are short-sighted.

However, we know that among people, especially youngsters, contact lens are very popular. They prefer contact lens, for it looks beautiful. Some of them even wear chromatic lens to show a kind of individuality. Here I would like to point out that, compared with frame glasses; there are obvious disadvantages of contact lens. People who have ever worn them can tell that. Firstly, they are troublesome. You should wash them carefully every day. Besides, they do a lot of harm to your eyes.

The most obvious one is that they make you feel uncomfortable. Your eyes may be very tired and dry. If you wear them for a long time, your eyes will become very sensitive and allergic to the sun or other outside things. Second, wearing contact lens may leads to mane eye inflammations, such as keratitis and cataracts. That’s because the lens are adhered to your eye balls, so they will fray the cornea. In the course of time, it will definitely cause eye diseases. More over, contact lens may make your eyesight worse. All in all, frame glasses are the best choices.
